Refreshers and Color Boosts

Yearly Color Boosts and Brow Tattoo Refreshers

Permanent makeup eyebrow tattoos are a great option for a long lasting and beautiful enhancement to your brows. However, as with any tattoo, fading is normal and expected. The permanent makeup technique uses delicate and shallow strokes that will begin to fade after several years. Colors will become more sheer and sharp lines can begin to blur as any tattoo would. Yearly color refreshers keep your brows looking vibrant and fresh year over year.

The Brow Bar eyebrow tattoo refreshers are reserved for our existing clients. If you have undergone microblading or powder brow sessions with us in the past, we can touch up your existing work to keep it looking great and help you make the most of your initial investment. Schedule your color boost at our California or Minnesota locations.

How Yearly Refreshers or Color Boosts Keep Your Brows Looking Great

Microblading and ómbre powder brows are a semi permanent makeup option, making them a long lasting solution. But time will naturally cause the line work and delicate points of brow tattoos to start to fade. This has a range of effects on microblading and microshading, such as:

  • Cooling Colors – Warmer tones are the first to fade, which will leave the remaining pigments looking cool and result in tones that do not necessarily match with your hair and skin or look washed out.
  • Blurring – The fine lines of microblading can fade into a more powdery finish and a powder brow may lose its ómbre effect and become more uniform.
  • Less Shape Definition – As the pigments fade, the sharp shapes from microblading or microshading will become less noticeable, which can result in a shape or look you do not want.

A refresher can provide fixes for all of these changes, restoring vibrancy and definition to make your permanent makeup eyebrows look as good as it did when initially done.

How Brow Refreshment Treatments Work at The BrowBar

Our color boosting sessions and annual refreshers are a great way to keep your initial brow tattoo looking as good as possible and for as long as possible without the cost of an initial tattooing session.

This service is open only to existing clients who have had their work done at The Brow Bar. Clients with existing work done by a different artist will need to book a coverup appointment instead.

We offer refresher sessions as soon as three months after your initial appointment and for up to 4 years after with the cost and work based on how long ago we did your brows. We will evaluate the current appearance of your brows and determine which steps are necessary to touch them up and bring them back to your perfect appearance.

How often you need touch ups on your brow work can depend on multiple factors and is often highly individual, which is why we work with every client one on one to give you the right results for your aesthetic goals and your budget.

Scheduling a color refresh annually or at different points throughout your brows’ lifetime is the best way to make sure that your eyebrows remain stunning, balanced, and full. See our available scheduling options and book your appointment online, or use the form to contact us with any questions you have about the process.
